It accepts over 12,000 luxury, fashion, and designer brands like Hermès, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Fendi, Vivienne Westwood, Acne Studios, Coach, Lacoste, and many more.
To list and sell items, you need to upload professional, high-quality photos of your piece including close-ups of any defects. We recommend editing your pictures or hiring someone to refine your item mockups; always study the editing techniques of other sellers on the platform and take inspiration from their professional presentation and camera angles. Unlike other marketplaces such as Vinted and Mercari, casual pictures with poor lighting are unacceptable, as they won’t drive sales or worse get rejected. Remember you are competing with sellers who are selling Louis Vuitton and Chanel pieces and have serious presentation skills, so act upon that.
Write a detailed description that highlights how special and luxurious your piece is. Mention brand, size, material, condition, and any flaws. You can take advantage of the platform’s feature that suggests a data-driven price based on similar sold items to help you sell faster and save time researching. Listings are reviewed individually by Vestiaire’s team to ensure they meet authenticity, quality, and brand requirements.
After approval and earning discoverability, expect buyers to contact you directly through the in-app chat feature to negotiate the price. Once you agree on a price and the item is sold, Vestiaire provides prepaid shipping labels to ship it within 7 days, making the process simple and secure.

Vestiaire Requirements
The platform accepts sellers from most major countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, and more. It’s best to visit Vestiairecollective.com and check whether your country is included in the list of 48 eligible countries where Vestiaire provides prepaid shipping labels. If your country is not on the list, you cannot currently open a shop or sell items through the platform. To open a shop, you must provide proof of a registered business (company registration documents or a sole trader license) and be at least 18 years old. Eligibility also requires compliance with Vestiaire’s listing guidelines, which prohibit counterfeit or damaged goods. Note that altered or modified pieces, VIP gifts, free promotional items, or anything marked “not for sale” cannot be listed on the marketplace.
How Much Does Vestiaire Pay?
Unlike Vinted and Mercari, where you have to slightly reduce prices to drive sales, Vestiaire’s buyers are prepared to pay more for original items. This gives sellers the freedom to receive the money they deserve for their valuable pieces.
As of 2026, sellers don’t pay to list items, but they are charged 12% of the final sale price for items over €100. For items under €50, commission can be up to 25%. This can be frustrating for sellers who plan to sell a single item worth less than 50 euros. There is also a payment processing fee (typically 2.5–3% of the sale price, covering external transaction costs). Regarding shipping fees, Vestiaire provides prepaid shipping labels, absorbed into their service, so sellers pay nothing.
For UK sellers specifically, items priced between £100–£40,000 have a reduced 5% fee; items below £100 incur a fixed £5 fee; and items above £40,000 have a fixed £2,000 fee.
